Prussian Guard Division Helmet With Unit Numeral

Model 1916 stahlhelm retains 80% dark oxidized field gray finish, with black and white painted Hohenzollern crest on the left side and a red painted unit numeral "7" on the reverse crown, indicating that the helmet was used by a member of one of the Guard Artillery regiments.  Interior has 1917 pattern metal liner band with all three correct original attachment pins, lacks the leather liner pads and chinstrap.  Left interior side has maker's code and size "ET 64" from Eisenhüttenwerke Thale A.G.  $800 - $1000
