Imperial German S.98/05 a/A Bayonet Lot: Two Bayonets Including One Sawback

Sawback S.98/05 a/A has blade with a few minor age spots, sawtooth spine has an Imperial inspection proof and is dated 1914.  Ricasso has "V.C. SCHILLING / SUHL" maker stamp.  Hilt has darker patina, a/A style high muzzle rest, and no flashguard.  Walnut two-piece scale grips show light wear.  Complete with iron mounted black leather scabbard which remains in very nice condition.  

Second example has blade with light gray patina and areas of minor discolorations and light pitting.  Ricasso has "C.G. HAENEL / SUHL" maker stamp, spine has Prussian crown proof and is dated 1910.  Hilt has dark patina, a/A style high muzzle rest, and no flashguard.  Walnut two-piece scale grips show light wear and are stained dark.  Complete with iron mounted black leather scabbard which shows service dents but remains in overall good condition.  Age constriction on the leather has left a 2-3mm gap between guard and scabbard throat. $300 - $400
