New Orleans City Post, Green Snowshovel Postmark, Carrier Use to the Post Office, Forwarded to Indiana

Green "N.O. City Post Jan. 13" snowshovel postmark to the Post Office for Outgoing Mail to Indiana. Troy, Ind postmark and manuscript "Mis & Forward" directive. The cover stained around the Troy handstamp.

This cover was carried by the New Orleans semi-official carrier service to the U.S. mails without fee, then forwarded to Troy. A rare outbound carrier use, most known examples are inbound with fee paid.
